Oh my gosh! This book was sooo cute! I loved everything about this book! This was so realistic and beautiful and so fun!
Maggie thinks she's over weight and she has a mother that constantly hints that she is. Nash is gay has an alcoholic mother and blames himself whenever she has a bad night. They are the outcasts, but they don't need anyone but themselves. And then Tom comes to town. Tom is charismatic new kid, who Maggie and Nash befriend him on their first day of their junior year. Nash automatically calls "dibs" on Tom, and Maggie is left to support Nash in his endeavors to pursue Tom. Tom, however, grows closer to both of them but falls for Maggie... Crap goes down...and Maggie finds that she's loosing the friends that mean the most to her...
OK, so the ending of this book made me so emotional. The way Maggie's boss handled her problems was so sweet and so genius! Also, Tom was so understanding of Nash's pursuits but doesn't handle letting him down well. He also didn't handle talking to Maggie after they kiss. I was really really really mad at that kid...holy crap I wanted to reach through the book and slap that little sh**!
